Fees

My fee is $200 per 50 minute session.

I have very few sliding scale fee slots reserved for individuals with temporarily limited income. If you require a sliding scale rate, please bring that to my attention when you contact me so that we can discuss availability and other details.

 

 

Insurance

Unfortunately, I do not take insurance. There are several reasons for this, which I am happy to discuss with you if you are curious. I can, however, issue a monthly receipt (superbill) to clients who wish to file with their insurance companies for out-of-network reimbursement. Please contact your provider for coverage information .

 

 

Cancellation

**Clients who benefit the most from therapy attend every week.** There are many different styles of therapy that may be effective, and it is important that you find the right fit for you. I offer depth work, which is most effective with regular sessions. Therefore, I require a commitment from clients to attend weekly therapy.

I understand that our schedules change, and there may be times you cannot make it in for your session. You may cancel up to 4 sessions per calendar year without paying the session fee as long as you provide a week's notice. If you cancel any sessions beyond those 4 for any reason, you will be responsible for the cancellation fee.

Please give as much advance notice as possible when canceling a session. Late cancellations are sessions canceled less than a week before the scheduled session time. You will be responsible for the full fee. These would not count toward your 4 free cancellations. You are welcome to explore options for rescheduling or making up a session.

If you are traveling, ill, or otherwise can’t make it to an in-person session, teletherapy may also be an option. If you are not able to attend or find a mutual time to reschedule the session, you are responsible for the full fee and payment is due at the time of your regularly scheduled session. If I am not able to attend a session, you will NOT be charged the fee.

The standard meeting time for psychotherapy is 50 minutes. It is up to you, however, to determine the length of time of your sessions. Requests to change the 50-minute session needs to be discussed with the therapist in order for time to be scheduled in advance.

A $10.00 service charge will be charged for any checks returned for any reason for special handling.

Cancellations will be subject to a full charge if NOT RECEIVED AT LEAST 1 WEEK IN ADVANCE. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. If you are late for a session, you will lose some of that session time.
